Chad W. Schavey, Chief Financial Officer

Chad began working with ChurchShield in October 2000, and he has provided accounting, financial, and tax advice to over two hundred churches and ministries around the country. Chad currently serves as CFO for ChurchShield and is responsible for administration and accounting for the firm.  Chad is also responsible for on-site implementations of accounting software, helping to design and develop chart of accounts, comprehensive budgeting systems, and providing guidance for internal control structures and procedures, as well as reviews for clients on an on-going basis.  Chad assists nonprofit organizations in identifying areas of unnecessary expense and aids management with the development and implementation of strategic plans to find savings through creative means, specifically through reduction of general and administrative expenses.  Prior to working for ChurchShield, Chad worked for a regional CPA firm for three years.  While employed there, he gained experience in reviews, compilations, audit engagements, monthly write-up work, consulting, tax planning, and tax return preparation. Chad brings over ten years of accounting and tax experience to the firm.
